Resumen de Artistas mujeres referentes para estudiantes mujeres de bellas artes

La presente investigación surge de la necesidad de evidenciar el escaso número de mujeres artistas que son presentadas en contextos académicos, en comparación con el gran número de mujeres que realizan carreras artísticas. El estudio se ha llevado a cabo a partir de una serie de entrevistas realizadas a estudiantes mujeres de Bellas Artes para conocer quiénes son sus referentes artistas mujeres y qué rescatan de las mismas para acercarlo a su trabajo como creadoras. En este contexto se analizan factores relacionados con las temáticas tratadas por las artistas mencionadas, el papel que éstas ejercen y han ejercido en el mundo del arte y los diferentes modos de abordar estas cuestiones en el ámbito universitario

This article aims at testifying to the lack of academic visibility of female artists. This issue is more evident when the scarce number of female artists presented in academic contexts is compared with the large number of women who study arts. This study was founded on personal interviews with female students of Visual Art. The interview questions who the female references of the students are and what aspect of the reference’s arts relates to each student’s artistic and personal experience. Within this context, I analyze the different the themes treated by the artists mentioned, the role of this artist in the world of arts and the different ways to address these matters in the academic setting.
