  • Resumen
    • Learning space is a common element in any educational process, whether formal or informal. This scope declares the need to find out its implications and influences, therefore, studies that relate classroom variables with the application of different teaching models, performance, attention and motivation in mathematics have appeared. For this reason, the main goal of this research is to summarise and to provide a high level of evidence on the influence of learning space in math achievement in the teaching and learning process. In order to answer this purpose, a systematic review of the literature with regard to the relation among mathematical academic performance, learning space and the research methods used was carried out. The results generate a holistic background of learning space factors which have demonstrated direct relations with mathematical outcome as well as its association in teaching approaches. In addition, research methods in the field of learning space influence on math achievement have been examined. The interest of this review relies on the fact that it attempts to help school designers and mathematics teachers in their professional practice.
