    En esta investigación se pretende establecer cuáles fueron los aspectos del barroco hispano adoptados por los cofrades indígenas en los Altos de Guatemala. Así también cómo se manifestó en las procesiones, velaciones, danzas, indumentarias y música, debido que muchas de ellas tienen su origen en tratados de arte provenientes de Europa. Estos documentos lo poseyeron algunos templos de las cabeceras de curatos indígenas y también en los anexos. Se analizarán las técnicas artísticas usadas por los indígenas en la confección de retablos portátiles usando plumas de aves de colores, colgaduras con textiles importados de España y otros fabricados en los talleres que poseían los cofrades y sus familias, así como el uso de espejos y cascabeles metálicos importados

    The purpose of this study is to establish the aspects of the Hispanic baroque adopted by the indigenous confraternities in the Highlands of Guatemala. In addition, we analyze how they were manifested in processions, vigils, dances, clothing and music, many of which have their origin in European art treaties. These documents were in the possession of some temples of the leaders of indigenous curacy, as well as in their annexes. We will study the artistic techniques used by the natives in the making of portable altarpieces using colored bird feathers (hung with textiles imported from Spain), the use of mirrors and imported metal bells, as well as others manufactured in the workshops owned by the Brothers and their families
