Valoraciones del profesorado de Formación Profesional sobre el claustro y su importancia en la educación del alumnado y el funcionamiento del centro

    Con el presente documento es nuestro interés presentar un estudio exploratorio sobre diversos aspectos del claustro del profesorado en los centros de formación profesional. Un protocolo elaborado ad hoc fue enviado por correo electrónico al profesorado de una muestra de centros seleccionados al azar y en función de su ubicación y de su titularidad. Respondieron al protocolo 285 profesores y profesoras. Se realizan análisis descriptivos, de diferencia de medias y de análisis multivariado. El profesorado otorga una alta valoración a la importancia de las competencias del claustro para la educación del alumnado y el funcionamiento del centro. Se encuentra razonablemente satisfecho como miembro del claustro, al que valora como un órgano eficaz para el funcionamiento del centro. El profesorado entiende que deben mejorarse aspectos tales como su formación inicial y permanente respecto a su participación en el claustro, el cumplimiento de sus competencias por parte del claustro y la valoración y atención que las administraciones educativas prestan a su funcionamiento.

    In this paper we aim to present an exploratory study on the various aspects of the General meeting in vocational training centers. To achieve this goal, we have written a test protocol that has been sent by email to schools chosen at random taking into account the location and the regulated school holder. 285 teachers have answered to the test. We have carried out the appropriate descriptive analysis, media differences and multivariate analysis. Teachers highly value the importance of the general meeting competencies for the students´ education and the school running. Teachers are satisfied as members of the general meeting considering it to be an effective body for the school running. Teachers consider that their initial and on-going training in the field of the general meeting participation should improve. They also think that the accomplishment of the general meeting tasks should be improved as well as the value given to the general meeting running by administration and the attention it pays to its agreements and suggestions.
