Based on unpublished documentation of the Brotherhoods of the Refugio of Toledo and Madrid, it will be tried to demonstrate that the picture of the La ronda de pan y huevo by Luis Tristán, painted in 1624, was for the brotherhood of Toledo, taking in account, for example, the type of sedan chairs that are represented in the picture and in spite of the fact that the Madrid brotherhood had similar paintings. The anonymous copy of 1660, made when the brotherhood moved to the hospital of San Nicolás, could be further proof that the painting of Tristán was always in the headquarters of the Toledo Refugio, although both were modified at an unknown time.
