Durante el siglo XX el arte de la tapicería vivió en España su Edad de Plata. Resurgió la Real Fábrica de Tapices y se fundaron otras nuevas; se creó un plan nacional de enseñanza y una red de mercados; se promovieron exposiciones y aparecieron publicaciones especializadas. Los mejores artistas colaboraron con las manufacturas y a partir de los años 50 la tapicería se incorporó a la vanguardia internacional.
During the XXth century the art of tapestry had its Silver Age in Spain. The "Real Fábrica de Tapices" resurfaced and many others were born; an education national plan and a market network were created; exhibitions were promoted and several specific publications appeared. The best artirts collaborated with manufactures and from the 50s, tapestry was incorporated into the international avant-garde.
