A lo largo del siglo XV, el castillo de Hesdin, residencia de los duques de Borgoña fue reformado por dos artistas vinculados a la corte de Felipe el Bueno, Hue de Boulogne y Colard le Voleur. Este estudio analiza los modelos utilizados para la iconografía de las pinturas murales, sus colores y las fuentes a través de los documentos de la contaduría ducal (Archives départementales du Nord en Lille) y pretende tanto llegar a definir las características de las obras de los mencionados artistas como la estructura de sus talleres.
During the Fifteenth Century, two artists linked with the court of Philippe the Good, Hue de Boulogne y Colard le Voleur, rebuilt the Castle of Hesdin, a residence of dukes of Burgundy. This study analyses the model used for the iconography of the frescos, their colours and sources through the documents of the Chambre de comptes (Archives départementales du Nord in Lille) and aims to define the character of the oeuvre of both mentioned artists and the structure of their workshops.
