El juego y la observación son ingredientes muy importantes en el diario vivir de los niños. Si nosotros somos conscientes de ello, como educadores, podremos construir conocimiento de una forma muy significativa e integral y lograremos un proceso aún más complejo; el de comprensión, en el que se realizan conexiones entre los aprendizajes previos y la experiencia e interacción con los objetos o compañeros. De esta manera, el ser humano se aventura en el conocimiento, porque el acto de comprender va más allá de la simple manipulación; que implica no sólo jugar con los sentidos, sino establecer cadenas de relaciones en las que el niño use un conocimiento construido en otras situaciones en las cuales le será útil. El niño que juega a la tienda con hojas de árboles, que asemejan billetes, y los cuenta para dar los precios a los artículos, da el cambio a sus clientes o pide mayor cantidad de dinero porque no es suficiente para cubrir el precio establecido. Ese niño va a usar esta actividad de conteo que puso en práctica en el juego cuando comience a hacer operaciones elaboradas de suma y resta en otros ámbitos de su vida y hará en su mente las conexiones pertinentes que lo lleven a comprender este concepto prematemático.

The game and the observation are very important ingredients in the daily day of the children. if we are aware of it, as educators we willbe able to build knowledge in a very significant and integral way and we will still achieve a process more complex; that is the understanding, in which one are realized connections between the previous learnings and the experience and interaction with the objects or partners. In This way, the human being venture in the knowledge, because the act of understanding goes more there of the simple manipulation; that not implies only to play with the senses, but establishing chains of relationships in those ones that the boy uses a knowledge built in other situations that they will be useful for him. The boy that play to the store game with leaves of trees similar to bills, and he count them to give the prices to the articles, gives the change to his clients, or he requests bigger quantity of money because it is not enough to cover the established price. That boy goes to use this count activity that he put in practice in the game when he/she begins to make elaborated addition and substraction operations in other environments of his life and he will do in his mind the pertinent connections that take him to understand this concept premath.
