This article examines the role of Hollywoodian cinema in the construction of a mythicized conception of Nazism. The main objective is to determine the actual currency of the neat dichotomy that divides the world up into victims and victimizers. In "Schindlers' List" (1993), Spielberg resorted to the myth about the struggle between good and evil, establishing a model which was readily imitated by other films. The changes that this narrative frame has undergone over the years will be considered through "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" (Hermans 2008), whose approach serves to illustrate that Holocaust memory continues to be abused.
