Revisión sobre el tratamiento de las secuelas lingüísticas en pacientes intervenidos con mapeo de lenguaje intraoperatorio

    Introducción y Objetivos: El abordaje de logopedia en los pacientes con tumores del sistema nervioso central intervenidos por técnica de mapeo de lenguaje intraoperatorio se inicia en fase postquirúrgica de manera precoz rehabilitando las posibles secuelas lingüísticas. El logopeda basa su intervención a partir de la información recogida en la historia clínica y en las valoraciones efectuadas por foniatría en cada fase. Además, tiene presente los distintos enfoques terapéuticos, los objetivos y estrategias de intervención para plantear el tratamiento más adaptado a las necesidades del paciente. Los pacientes operados por técnica de mapeo intraoperatorio presentan pocos déficits lingüísticos comparados con los intervenidos por técnicas tradicionales. Las secuelas más frecuentes afectan a la producción presentando cuadros variados de anomia con parafasias semánticas, fonológicas y fonéticas, perseveraciones, enlentecimiento y bloqueos del habla. Se presenta el tratamiento habitual de estos pacientes siguiendo el enfoque pragmático y cognitivo-neurolingüístico. Método: Revisión Narrativa. Resultados: El tratamiento es personalizado y de menor duración. Conclusiones: Es importante conocer en profundidad esta técnica y fundamentar teóricamente la intervención para abordar al paciente con mejores resultados.

    Introduction and Objectives: The approach of speech therapy in patients with tumors of the central nervous system intervened by intraoperative language mapping technique begins in the postsurgical phase in an early manner, rehabilitating the possible linguistic outcomes. The speech therapist bases his intervention based on the information collected in the clinical history and in the assessments made by phoniatrics in each phase. In addition, it considers the different therapeutic approaches, the objectives and intervention strategies to propose the most adapted treatment to the needs of the patient. Patients operated by intraoperative mapping technique present few linguistic deficits compared to those operated by traditional techniques. The most frequent outcomes affect production presenting varied pictures of anomie with semantic, phonological and phonetic paraphasias, perseverations, slowness and speech blocks. The usual treatment of these patients is presented following the pragmatic and cognitive-neurolinguistic approach.

    Method: Narrative Review. Results: The treatment is personalized and of shorter duration. Conclusions: It is important to know this technique in depth and to theoretically base the intervention in order to approach the patient with better results.
