Resumen de Ética y quehacer científico: De la estrategia identitaria a la estrategia política

  El presente es un análisis e interpretación del discurso en torno a las relaciones entre ética y quehacer del científico; se explicitan las significaciones de la ética profesional en relación con la identidad profesional y la formación de científicos, sus estrategias de diseminación en el ámbito institucional y sus efectos de poder. El eje del discurso de la ética es la honestidad, pero está recubierto y mediatizado por el discurso epistémico. La competitividad y el borramiento del sujeto son estrategias identitarias en la constitución del carácter científico; cobijadas en el prestigio del trabajo, constituyen parte de una estrategia política. El discurso contribuye a conformar una eticidad cuyo referente es la cientificidad, pero no es equitativa y se vuelve contra ésta.

  This articles presents an analysis and an interpretation of the discourse that is built about the relationship between ethics and the scientist's occupations; the author states the meanings of professional ethics with regard to professional identity and the formation of scientists, its dissemination strategies within the institution and its effects of power. The central point of the ethical discourse is honesty, but it is covered and influenced by the epistemological discourse. The competitiveness and the erasing of the subject are identity strategies in the constitution of the scientific character; sheltered by the job's prestige, they are part of a political strategy. The discourse helps to construct an ethicity whose referent is scientificity, but this ethicity is not equitable and it finally harms the scientificity.
