Viaje y viajeros en la civilización árabo-islámica

    Tras una introducción eminentemente conceptual a los diversos términos del viaje en árabe y sus diferentes connotaciones en la civilización árabo-islámica (la búsqueda del conocimiento, el viaje místico, la Peregrinación) nos centramos en dos viajes hito: la Rihla de Ibn Battuta (1304-1358) y el Viaje a Alándalus de Hussein Mones (1911-1996). De ambos, pertenecientes a dos momentos y lugares diferentes, destacamos la presencia de Alándalus/España desde sus diferentes miradas.

    Como epílogo, y considerando la vigencia del viaje, traemos a colación un poema del egipcio Salah Abd Al-Sabur (1931-1981), claro ejemplo de la desdicha del viaje más duro: el viaje de la memoria íntima.

    After a basically conceptual introduction to the different terms of the words «travel» and «trip» in the Arabic language and their different connotations in the Arab-Islamic civilization (the search for knowledge, the mystic trip, the Pilgrimage) we focus on two landmark trips: the Rihla from Ibn Batuta (1304-1358) and the Trip to Alandalus from Hussein Mones (1911-1966). Both of them belong to two different places and times, but we show the presence of Alandalus/Spain from their different ways of looking.

    As an epilogue, and taking into account the validity of travel, we include a poem from the Egyptian author Salah Abd Al-Sabur (1931-1981), which is a clear example of the unhappiness from the hardest trip: the personal memory trip.
