Resumen de Tipología documental y registros: un acercamiento al español novohispano del siglo XVI

El trabajo parte del análisis de tres tipos de cartas escritas en la Nueva España en el siglo XVI, que se encuentran en diferentes puntos del continuo formal / informal (Biber 1988) o del continuo de la inmediatez y de la distancia comunicativas (Koch/Oesterreicher 2007). Las posiciones de estos manuscritos dentro del continuo tiene su sustento en las diferentes esferas de la actividad humana a la que pertenecen (Bajtín 1982), las cuales determinan sus usos lingüísticos.
Los elementos lingüísticos que se han seleccionado para el estudio son pragmáticos: el uso de pronombres y formas de tratamiento que dan cuenta de la interacción del emisor-receptor (yo-tú) y el uso de demostrativos (deícticos y anafóricos) que ayudan a entender, por un lado, el anclaje del escribiente en el espacio y tiempo y, por el otro, la complejidad sintáctica de lo escrito.

The work is based on the analysis of three types of letters written in New Spain during the sixteenth century that are found in different parts of the formal / informal continuum (Biber 1988) or the immediacy and communicative distance (Koch/Oesterreicher 2007). The position of this manuscripts within the continuum has its basis in the different spheres of human activity to which they belong (Bajtín 1982). It is important to note that these spheres determine linguistic usages. The linguistic elements that have been considered for study are pragmatic: the use of pronouns and forms of treatment that account for the interaction between transmitter and receiver (I-you) and the employment of demonstratives (deictic and anaphoric) that help understand, on one hand, the anchoring of the writer in space and time and, on the other, the syntactic complexity of what it is written.
