  • Resumen
    • Azdan represents a native mythology introduced to Chicano discourse in the early 1970s. It was the bases for an exclusive vision of what constituted Chicano identity and the Chicano community. Borderlands became a focal point of confrontation, movement and negotiation for Chicanos after 1848. It sets up an apocalyptic space where the forces of destruction and creation continuously impact Chicanos. Heterotopia is a place of otherness where differences exist in constant negotiation trying to achieve settlement and comfort. Chicano culture is mapped by these sites that influence present and future Chicano experience.
