    La significación práctica del presente trabajo reside en que constituye un valioso instrumento de consulta al ofrecer un modo de actuación a los docentes en formación y a los docentes en ejercicio que aún muestran carencias en sus clases para aplicar el enfoque cognitivo, comunicativo y sociocultural en el análisis de textos literarios. Se toma para su ejemplificación y explicación a tres figuras descollantes de la cuentística latinoamericana que forman parte del currículo del preuniversitario: Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Rulfo y Mario Benedetti.

    The practical significance of this work lies in the fact that it constitutes a valuable reference tool that offersteachers a way of acting in training and, to teachers in practice who still show deficiencies in their lessons, it will serve as a guide to apply the cognitive, communicative and sociocultural approach in the analysis of literary texts. Three outstanding figures of the Latin American story that are part of the pre-university curriculum: Gabriel GarcíaMárquez, Juan Rulfo, and Mario Benedetti, were taken for the research analysis and explanation.
