Georges Perec instrucciones de uso: Lecturas perecquianas en la docencia de arquitectura

    Múltiples caminos pueden conducir la dirección y el sentido de la experiencia lectora de un arquitecto en la obra literaria del escritor francés Georges Perec. Transcurridos cuarenta años desde que se publicase la primera edición de su novela La Vie mode d´emploi en 1978, se puede afirmar que tanto esta como el resto de su obra constituye un valioso patrimonio intelectual contemporáneo para muy diversas disciplinas. La recepción póstuma de su literatura ha desvelado ser muy fecunda en el campo de las artes plásticas y visuales, pero dada la proyección significativa y simbólica que el espacio adquiere en la construcción de sus textos, es en la arquitectura donde esta se manifiesta de un modo más instrumentalizado. El presente artículo, apoyándose en teorías literarias, abordará la complejidad de dicho espacio narrativo descubriendo los mecanismos empleados para su construcción a través de la división del mismo en tres dimensiones: referente, texto e historia. Un trinomio al que se suplementará la dimensión de la propia lectura, tratando así de establecer las claves del porqué la obra de Perec ejerce tal atracción sobre determinados arquitectos hasta el punto de ser utilizada en su faceta como docentes, y que se manifiesta en experiencias llevadas a cabo en torno a modos de ver, procesos de ideación y adquisición de conocimiento en escuelas de arquitectura de París, Barcelona y Nueva York, bajo la dirección de los arquitectos Vincen Cornu, Enric Miralles y Enrique Walker respectivamente.

    An architect can have multiple ways to lead the direction and sense of his reading experience when addressing the literary work of the French writer Georges Perec. Forty years after the publication of the first edition of his novel La Vie mode d'Emploi in 1978, one can say that this novel and the rest of his work constitute a valuable contemporary intellectual heritage for many disciplines. The posthumous reception of his literature has revealed itself to be very fruitful in the field of plastic and visual arts. However, due to the significant and symbolic projection that space acquires in the construction of his texts, it is in the field of architecture where his work is instrumentalized in a more evident way. This article will approach the complexity of said narrative space based on literary theories, and it will discover the mechanisms used for its construction through its division into three dimensions: referent, text and story. A trinomial to which the dimension of the reading in itself will be supplemented, as we try to establish the keys that explain why Perec's work exerts such an attraction on certain architects. This attraction goes to the point of being used in their facet as teachers, and it manifests itself in experiences carried out around ways of seeing, processes of ideation and acquisition of knowledge in schools of architecture in Paris, Barcelona and New York, under the direction of the architects Vincen Cornu, Enric Miralles and Enrique Walker respectively.
