    A propósito titulamos Notas a lo que es un anticipo de una investigación global sobre la guerra civil en Valladolid comprensiva de muchos otros aspectos. Como ciudad controlada desde el principio por la sublevación militar, Valladolid pertenece al mapa de la retaguardia, pero no por eso resulta ajena a la carga pasional del enfrentamiento, que tiene manifestaciones elocuentes en las víctimas producidas por la represión y en la reclusión de los encarcelados con la dureza y sobresaltos a que vivieron sometidos.

    We have deliberately used the word Notes in the title of what is an advance of a global research on the Civil War in Valladolid, comprehensive of many other aspects. As a city controlled from the start by the military rebellion, Valladolid was a piece in what we may call rearguard map, but it was nonetheless involved in the strife's passional component: as telling evidences of this we may mention the victims of repression and the terror suffered by the those who were imprisoned.
