Una intervención pedagógica mediada por tic: Contribución para el mejoramiento del inglés en estudiantes de grado quinto

    El artículo presenta los resultados obtenidos en la investigación que se desarrolló en el Colegio República de México, Institución Educativa Distrital en Bogotá. Con una muestra de 7 estudiantes del grado quinto. El objetivo principal fue analizar cómo una intervención pedagógica mediada por TIC, contribuye al mejoramiento de la lectura y el aprendizaje de vocabulario en inglés de los estudiantes. Se partió de una prueba diagnóstica con el fin de identificar su nivel de comprensión de lectura y de vocabulario en inglés. En segundo lugar, se diseñó e implementó una intervención pedagógica que luego se materializó en un ambiente de aprendizaje mediado por TIC. La investigación mostró que, el ambiente de aprendizaje mediado por TIC, fue un factor que contribuyó al mejoramiento de la lectura y el aprendizaje de vocabulario en inglés de los estudiantes de la institución, además fue una estrategia de enseñanza-aprendizaje que generó motivación en los estudiantes del grado quinto, quienes se beneficiaron porque encontraron un espacio de aprendizaje diferente al tradicional, en el cual tuvieron acceso a internet y a un blog en donde ellos podían practicar vocabulario en inglés a través de ejercicios en línea, lecturas digitales con animación, juegos, presentaciones en PowerPoint, uso de programas como Word y Paint, y actividades que buscaron su interacción con el computador, en una clase diferente a la de tecnología e informática, en este caso en la clase de inglés.

    The article presents the results obtained in the research that was developed in the Colegio República de México, District Educational Institution in Bogotá. With a sample of 7 fifth grade students. The main objective was to analyze how a pedagogical intervention mediated by ICT, contributes to the improvement of the reading and the learning of vocabulary in English of the students. He started with a diagnostic test in order to identify his level of reading comprehension and vocabulary in English. Secondly, a pedagogical intervention was designed and implemented and then materialized in a learning environment mediated by ICT. The research showed that, the learning environment mediated by ICT, was a factor that contributed to the improvement of reading and learning of vocabulary in English of the students of the institution, it was also a teaching-learning strategy that generated motivation in the fifth grade students, who benefited because they found a learning space different from the traditional, in which they had access to the internet and a blog where they could practice vocabulary in English through online exercises, digital readings with animation, games, PowerPoint presentations, use of programs such as Word and Paint, and activities that sought their interaction with the computer, in a different class than technology and computer science, in this case in the English class.
