    El presente ensayo contiene un relato que destaca la importancia de las publicaciones periódicas para una institución universitaria, toda vez que desde allí se muestra el desarrollo de su pensamiento humanístico, científico y tecnológico, convertido en el legado del trabajo intelectual, investigativo y propositivo de su comunidad institucional. Esta razón subraya el valor de sus revistas y la necesidad de que estén al día con la regularidad en su aparición, motivo por el cual no deben retrasarse bajo ninguna razón, así como deben disponer de una política editorial institucional que les garantice orientación editorial y financiamiento. Nadie escribe para una revista insolvente. Esta última circunstancia obliga al Estado a dar apoyo económico incondicional y estímulo a las revistas académicas nacionales que son la vocería más importante de la investigación de la nación.

    This essay highlights the importance of periodical publications for universities since they present the development of humanistic, scientific and technological thinking to then become the intellectual, investigative and proactive heritage to its institutional community. What was said before emphasizes the value of these journals and the need of being up to date with its publication, reason why they should not be delayed under any circumstances, as well as having an institutional editorial policy that guarantees editorial guidance and funding. This position forces the State to grant unconditional financial support and encouragement to all national academic journals that represent the most important voice of national research.
