    La aplicación de métodos empíricos para la investigación científica en el campo educacional requiere de instrumentos que guíen la constatación en la práctica del objeto investigado y garanticen la información necesaria para llegar a conclusiones científicas. Disponer de los instrumentos adecuados, con las cualidades para que cumplan su finalidad, deviene un problema para investigadores inexpertos. En este artículo, se exponen las insuficiencias halladas en un conjunto de instrumentos utilizados en investigaciones para las Trabajos de Diploma de los estudiantes de la licenciatura en Educación Primaria; estudio hecho mediante el trabajo en pequeños grupos de profesores previamente preparados. Los instrumentos fueron analizados sobre la base de cuatro indicadores necesarios para la confiabilidad y la validez de los datos que se esperan obtener: la pertinencia, la factibilidad, la racionalidad y la calidad de la redacción de esas herramientas. Como resultado final se incluye la sugerencia de pasos metodológicos para atenuar los efectos negativos de la inexperiencia propia de investigadores principiantes al elaborar guías y cuestionarios sobre las variables a investigar.

    The application of empirical methods for scientific research in the educational field requires instruments that guide the verification of the object under investigation and guarantee the necessary information to reach scientific conclusions. Having the right instruments, with the qualities to fulfill their purpose, becomes a problem for inexperienced researchers. This article exposes the shortcomings found in a set of instruments used in research for the Diploma Work of the students of the degree in Primary Education, a study made by working in small groups of previously prepared teachers. The instruments were analyzed on the basis of four indicators necessary for the reliability and validity of the data that are expected to be obtained: the relevance, the feasibility, the rationality and the quality of the writing of these tools. The final result includes the suggestion of methodological steps to mitigate the negative effects of the inexperience of beginner researchers when preparing guides and questionnaires on the variables to be investigated.
