    The study of the creative personality has been one of the focuses of researchers in the creativity field. However, there are few instruments that assess this variable. In particular, in Portugal, the Creative Personality Scale (EPC), composed by 30 items, was the first instrument’ which enables the evaluation of this dimension. This research presents the validation of the Creative Personality Scale (CPS). A total of 784 subjects have participated on this study. The results presented an internal consistency of the instrument of .92. The exploratory factorial analysis, EFA, showed the unidimensionality of the scale, and the confirmatory factorial analysis, CFA, with the use of RMSEA, RMR, GFI and CFI, confirmed these results. We obtained an instrument that has good psychometric qualities, and that can contribute to future researches seeking to understand the relationship between creative personality and other variables.

    O estudo da personalidade criativa tem sido alvo de interesse dos investigadores no campo da criatividade, mas existem poucos instrumentos para avaliar esta variável. Em particular, em Portugal, não existia nenhum instrumento que possibilitasse a avaliação desta dimensão. Com vista a colmatar esta lacuna, foi formulada a Escala da Personalidade Criativa (EPC), constituída por 30 itens. Na presente investigação procurou-se validar este instrumento, tendo sido utilizada uma amostra de 784 participantes. Verificou-se que a EPC apresenta boa consistência interna, com um Alpha de Cronbach de .92. Na análise fatorial exploratória (AFE) verificou-se a unidimensionalidade da escala, tendo a análise fatorial confirmatória (AFC), por meio dos índices de ajustamento de RMSEA, RMR, GFI e CFI, confirmado os resultados obtidos. Estamos perante um instrumento de avaliação psicológica com boas qualidades psicométricas, podendo contribuir para futuras investigações que procurem compreender a relação entre a personalidade criativa e outras variáveis.
