    En el presente artículo, se exponen los resultados de una encuesta realizada en varias aulas de Traducción Científico-Técnica con el objetivo de obtener información sobre las opiniones que los alumnos de esta asignatura tienen del texto científico-técnico y su traducción. Este tipo de información es interesante para el diseño de la programación pedagógica y del material didáctico.

    Las preguntas de la encuesta se formularon de manera que los alumnos pudieran expresar por sí mismos sus necesidades e intereses en relación con la traducción científico-técnica. Las respuestas se han sometido a un proceso de «análisis de contenido» para reducirlas a una serie de «ideas clave» que permitieran la cuantificación de las opiniones de los alumnos y su estudio estadístico.

    This article presents the results of a survey that was conducted in several scientific and technical translation classes in an effort to gather information on students’ opinions regarding scientific and technical texts and their translation. This type of information is relevant to the design of teaching programs and didactic materials.

    The survey questions were stated in a way that allowed students to express in their own terms their needs and interests with regard to scientific and technical translation. Through a process of “contents analysis” the answers were reduced to a number of “key ideas” so as to make it possible to quantify and statistically analyze the students’ opinions.
