    Este artículo analiza el grado de conocimiento, la percepción y la participación de los estudiantes universitarios en ONG. El grupo social analizado tiene una percepción muy positiva hacia el voluntariado, así como una formación y situación vital que facilitan, en teoría, su participación en tales actividades. No obstante, su participación efectiva es muy inferior a las de potenciales voluntarios a quienes les gustaría hacerlo. Se han identificado dos elementos que se interponen entre la posibilidad y la realidad: la falta de información y de tiempo disponible. En este sentido, las universidades aparecen como instituciones capaces de conectar las necesidades y demandas de las ONG y el estudiantado

    This article analyses the knowledge, perception and participation of university students in NGOs. The social group analysed has a very positive perception towards volunteering as well as a life situation and preparation that, in theory, facilitates their participation in such activities. However, their effective participation is much lower than the levels shown by potential volunteers who would like to participate. We have identified two elements that stand between the possibility and reality: the lack of information and the time available. In this sense, universities appear as institutions capable of connecting the needs and demands of NGOs and students.
