Incidencia del coeficiente intelectual, estilos de aprendizaje, motivos, actitudes y estrategias para el estudio sobre el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de un colegio de Santiago

    The present investigation seeks to demonstrate the relation between the academic performance of the students, with the learning styles, the intellectual coefficient, the motives, attitudes and strategies for the study of the students of an educational establishment in Santiago of Chile. They were applied of the questionnaires CHAEA, scale of RAVEN’s progressive matrixes and the questionnaire on the motives, attitudes and learning strategies. The results of the study indicated that if relation exists between the indicated variables and that these manage to predict a certain percentage of the academic performance in some matters that the students deal. They are necessary future investigations with samples of major size and of other cities of Chile, besides including other academic subjects.

    La presente investigación busca evidenciar la relación entre el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, con los estilos de aprendizaje, el coeficiente intelectual, los motivos, actitudes y estrategias para el estudio de los estudiantes de un establecimiento educacional en Santiago de Chile. Se aplicaron los cuestionarios CHAEA, escala de matrices progresivas de RAVEN y el cuestionario sobre los motivos, actitudes y estrategias de aprendizaje. Los resultados del estudio indicaron que sí existe relación entre las variables indicadas y que estas logran predecir un cierto porcentaje del rendimiento académico en algunas materias que cursan los estudiantes. Son necesarias futuras investigaciones con muestras de mayor tamaño y de otras ciudades de Chile, además de incluir otras asignaturas académicas.
