    Esta investigación tiene como objetivo relevar el aporte de la metodología, aprendizaje-servicio para el desarrollo de actitudes en derechos humanos de los estudiantes que cursaron el selectivo “Aprendizaje al Servicio de la Comunidad”, de la carrera de Derecho de la Universidad Católica del Norte, Coquimbo-Chile, mediante una investigación cualitativa utilizando grupo focal, entrevista semiestructurada, y análisis documental para obtener los datos. Los resultados muestran que los estudiantes reconocen el aporte de valores genéricos, como la empatía y responsabilidad y es el cuerpo docente el que reconoce estas habilidades de forma más técnica (dignidad, libre desarrollo de la persona e igualdad), hay una alta apreciación de rol social del abogado y hay un cambio de la visión de los derechos humanos.

    This research has the objective to collect information regarding the contribution of a singular service-learning methodology to develop values in human rights for the students who were enrolled in the elective course called, "Learning at the Service of the Community", from the School of Law, University Catholica North, in Coquimbo, Chile. Through a qualitative research by focal groups, semi-structural interviews and documentary analysis, the results show that the students recognize general values such as empathy and responsibility and the professor and assistant teachers recognize these values more technically (dignity, free development of human being and equality); furthermore, there is a high appreciation of the attorney´s social role and a change in the vision of human rights throughout the student population.
