    En el presente artículo se realiza una sistematización del concepto función expuesto en diferentes cursos de Análisis Matemático, así como el modo en que se trata este concepto en la asignatura Matemática en el contexto de la escuela cubana actual, reflexionando y argumentando sobre nuevas posiciones acerca de cómo debe definirse, con el objetivo de lograr coherencia y sistematicidad con otras propiedades que caracterizan a las funciones que se estudian en la asignatura Matemática en los momentos actuales en la enseñanza media y general media en Cuba.

    In the current article a systematization of the function concept exposed in different courses of math analysis is being made , as well as the mode this concept is treated in mathematics subject in the nowadays school cuban context, reflecting and giving arguments about new posit ions about defining, with the objective of achieving coherence and systematization with other properties which characterize the functions studied in mathematics subject in the current days in the junior and general junior teaching in Cuba.
