La excelencia docente: una mirada desde la pedagogía

    En este artículo nos planteamos analizar las cualidades de los docentes y alumnos potencialmente excelentes, ver cómo trabajan, qué competencias profesionales tienen y qué características personales. Para ello, hemos realizado un análisis de algunas investigaciones y estudios acerca de la excelencia docente, así como de aquellas que recogen el punto de vista de los propios alumnos, y que nos muestran su voz. De este análisis, hemos realizado un decálogo de algunas cualidades, que a nuestro modo de ver, debe poseer un docente potencialmente excelente. Creemos que la excelencia no debe ser una aspiración, un sueño o un deseo, sino una exigencia. La enseñanza es una responsabilidad colectiva, que afecta, incumbe y responsabiliza a todos. Pero, al mismo tiempo, debemos modelar a los futuros alumnos para que adquieran las condiciones para convertirse en alumnos excelentes. Por todo ello, la excelencia de la educación debe necesariamente combinar excelentes docentes con excelentes alumnos, la unión de ambos se retroalimenta y potencia, convirtiéndose no solo en una aspiración para el sistema educativo, sino en una exigencia moral para con las nuevas generaciones.

    In this article we consider analyzing the qualities of potentially excellent teachers and students, see how they work, what professional competences they have and what personal characteristics. To do this, we have done an analysis of some research and studies on teaching excellence, as well as those that reflect the point of view of the students themselves, and that show us their voice. From this analysis, we have made a decalogue of some qualities, which in our view, should possess a potentially excellent teacher. We believe that excellence should not be an aspiration, a dream or a desire, but a demand. Teaching is a collective responsibility, which affects, rests and holds everyone accountable. But, at the same time, we must shape the future students so that they acquire the conditions to become excellent pupils.

    For all this, the excellence of education must necessarily combine excellent teachers with excellent students, the union of both feedback and power, becoming not only an aspiration for the educational system, but a moral requirement for the new generations.
