    Desde la publicación del artículo “Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants” de Marc Prensky, se viene discutiendo en el contexto de la Didáctica la forma en que las nuevas tecnologías y las redes sociales determinan el proceso educativo en el siglo XXI. Este cambio de perspectiva lleva a replantearnos el papel desempeñado por los profesores y las instituciones educativas. Tales cuestiones serán objeto de reflexión en este artículo con el fin de desgranar los principales mitos, propuestas y desafíos en torno a la aplicación didáctica de las TIC y las redes sociales en el aprendizaje de ELE y la enseñanza literaria.

    Since the publication of the article “Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants” by Marc Prensky, the way in which new technologies and Social Networks determine the educational process has been discussed in the context of the Didactics. This perspective shift has forced to rethink the role played by teachers and educational institutions. Such observations will focus the attention of this paper in order to analyze the main myths, proposals and challenges related to the didactic application of the ICT and the Social Networks in the learning process of Spanish as foreign language and the literary teaching.
