    A partir del análisis de cierto número de rasgos característicos de la situación italiana en relación con las políticas de excelencia en educación superior y los elementos que tiene una influencia en ésta, este artículo tiene por objetivo proponer unos puntos para la reflexión de interés general: por una parte, una reflexión sobre “la excelencia para todos,” preconizada de forma notable por la NEHE; y por otra parte y de forma más amplia, una reflexión sobre la concepción de la educación superior y el rol de la universidad en el mundo complicado de hoy en día. Hago esto tomando como referencia el legado de ideas e instituciones que la historia nos transmite – primero, de la concepción humboldtiana, al tiempo mito y fuerza de inspiración – un legado que debe ser examinado lucidamente desde una visión constructiva, sin una idealización, ni tampoco desde un rechazo apriorístico.http://dx.doi.org/10.15572/ENCO2015.04

    Starting from the analysis of a certain number of traits specific to the Italian situation regarding the politics of excellence in higher education and the elements that influence it, the article aims to propose a number of items for a reflection of more general interest: on one hand, a reflection on “excellence for everyone,” advocated notably by the NEHE; and on the other hand and in a broader sense, a reflection on the conception of higher education itself and on the role of the University in today’s difficult world. I do this by referring also to the legacy of ideas and institutions that history transmits us – first, to the Humboldtian conception, at once myth and inspirational force – a legacy that ought to be examined clearly, without idealization nor a priori disapproval, in a constructive vision.http://dx.doi.org/10.15572/ENCO2015.04

    À partir de l’analyse d’un certain nombre de traits propres à la situation italienne par rapport à la politique de l’excellence dans l’enseignement supérieur et aux éléments qui l’influencent, l’article vise à proposer des points de réflexion d’un intérêt plus général : d’une part, une réflexion sur l’ « excellence pour tous » préconisée notamment par le NEHE, et d’autre part et en un sens plus large, une réflexion sur la conception même de l’enseignement supérieur et sur le rôle de l’université dans le monde difficile d’aujourd’hui. Ceci est fait en se rapportant aussi à l’héritage d’idées et d’institutions que l’histoire nous transmet - en premier lieu la conception humboldtienne, à la fois mythe et force inspiratrice – héritage qui doit être examiné lucidement, sans idéalisation ni désapprobation a priori , dans une vision constructive.http://dx.doi.org/10.15572/ENCO2015.04
