    La Ley de Transparencia, aprobada en 2013, compromete a las administraciones a ser más activas en la difusión de información a los ciudadanos, pero también a la hora de interactuar con ellos y fomentar su participación, para lo que contempla las potencialidades que brindan Internet y las nuevas tecnologías de la información. Tres años después de su entrada en vigor, analizamos en el presente trabajo cómo están utilizando los ministerios españoles las redes sociales para conseguir estos objetivos y encaminarse hacia el gobierno 2.0 o gobierno abierto. A través de la observación directa y la monitorización de la actividad de sus perfiles, se comprueba que el uso está siendo aún bastante limitado, tanto en la difusión de información como, sobre todo, en la búsqueda de la participación ciudadana

    Spain´s transparency law, approved in 2013, commits administrations to being an active actor in providing information to the citizen, but also to interacting with them and to promote their participation. To that end, it takes advantage of the potential opportunities offered by Internet and the benefits of the new information technologies. Three years after their entry into force, we analyze in this study how Spanish ministries are using social networks in order to reach these goals and to move forward the government 2.0 or open government. Through direct observations and monitoring their profiles we can see that its use is still being fairly limited both in the dissemination of information and seeking citizen participation.
