This paper reveals unpublished works by the Sevillian painter Rafael Blas Rodríguez (1885- 1961). Six paintings are documented, depicted and analyzed. All of them are signed by the author and preserved in religious institutions and private collections in Seville. These works comprises representations of sculptures of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary, which are well known by the public due to the use that four Brotherhoods of Penance that go on parade during Holy Week make of them –or made before disappearance of these–. Thus an enriching contribution is also made to the painting catalogue of this prolific artist, including several paintings that were unknown to date.
