Alteridad, el camino a la reconciliación

    Este artículo presenta los principales resultados del proceso investigativo titulado ALTERIDAD: Elemento indispensable para el encuentro de la reconciliación desde la escuela (El caso de la Escuela Tecnológica Instituto Técnico Central). Este estudio cuali-cuantitativo adoptó el paradigma Naturalista, para así relacionar las vivencias de los estudiantes con las tesis de los teóricos Johan Galtung, Hannah Arendt, Emmanuel Levinas y otros. Las diversas percepciones de los jóvenes fueron agrupadas en capítulos los cuales giran en torno a los conceptos de los conflictos escolares, la reconciliación y la alteridad. Finalmente, tales capítulos permitieron concluir de manera particular, y posteriormente, de manera general una clara relación entre alteridad y reconciliación, afirmando que los aspectos relacionados hacia el entendimiento del yo intervienen en los aspectos del entendimiento del otro, y por tanto, ayudan a comprender las relaciones de convivencia después de un conflicto.

    This article presents the main results of the investigative process entitled ALTERITY: the essential element for reaching reconciliation from schools (The case of the Escuela Tecnológica Instituto Técnico Central). This qualitative and quantitative study adopted the naturalist paradigm in order to relate the experiences of students with the theoretical thesis of Johan Galtung, Hannah Arendt, Emmanuel Levinas and others.

    The different perceptions of young people were grouped into chapters which revolve around the concepts of school conflicts, reconciliation and otherness. Finally, these chapters have allowed us to identify—in a particular way first and at more general scale later—a clear relationship between otherness and reconciliation, which asserts that issues related to the understanding of the self are involved in aspects of understanding the other, and therefore help to understand the relations of coexistence after a conflict.
