    Son muchos los testimonios epigráficos de época medieval y moderna que se conservan en la provincia de Cuenca, en la capital (especialmente en la Catedral), y en diversos pueblos de su territorio. Aunque la inscripción más antigua data del siglo XIII, es entre los siglos XVI y XVIII cuando se da el momento de mayor esplendor epigráfico en la zona y cuando se produce el mayor número de testimonios. La mayoría de las inscripciones está escrita en castellano, pero hay una parte muy significativa que está escrita en latín y generalmente tiene vinculación con la Iglesia y con la nobleza. Entre éstas destacan los epitafios. Los latinos no son muy numerosos, pero tienen un gran interés filológico e histórico. En este trabajo edito y estudio quince epitafios latinos que se conservan en diferentes localidades de la provincia: San Clemente, Villaescusa de Haro, Belmonte, Albaladejo del Cuende, Reíllo, Castejón, Huete, Moya y Cañaveruelas

    There are many epigraphic evidences from medieval and early modern times preserved in the province of Cuenca, not only in the capital (especially in the Cathedral), but also in several towns in its territory. Although the oldest inscription dates from the thirteenth century, it is between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries when the epigraphical production is at its peak, and most of the evidences come from this period. Most are written in Spanish, but a significant part of them are written in Latin, and they are usuaally related to the Church and the nobility. The epitaphfs are particularly important. The Latin ones are not very numerous, but have a great philological and historical interest. In this paper I present the edition and study of fifteen Latin epitaphs preserved in different localities of the province: San Clemente, Villaescusa de Haro, Belmonte, Albaladejo del Cuende, Reíllo, Castejón, Huete, Moya and Cañaveruelas
