Public government institutions produce a lot of relevant and authoritative information in fulfilling their institutional mission, but the documents they produce are often unknown to general public, so that in this field are very relevant. The Library of Consiglio Regionale lombardo, starting 2013, has enlarged its mission regarding information literacy activities to assist citizens in their research, especially with legal information. In cooperation with the outreach offices of the Council and LIUC University Mario Rostoni Library, the Council Library transformed the traditional visits of the high schools students to the Council into a research process discovering the roles and the function of the Library and of the Legislative Assembly itself and the documentation they produce.
