    Hemos escogido este tema de investigación porque nos parece un problema trascendental en la vida de los niños a la vista dela importancia que tiene la televisión en el comportamiento infantil y del aumento de las programaciones en los nuevos canales televisivos y videojuegos. Hoy en día, la televisión no tiene suficientementeestipulados los horarios, por lo que el niño puede observar continuamente escenas violentas poco adecuadas a su edad con el peligro añadido de que puede imitar escenas que le impresionen y llegar a perjudicarle. Se incluye una investigación actual, de 1999,sobrela influencia de la televisión y de los videojuegos en la conducta infantil, asì como una breve historia sobre este tema, que recientemente los cambios acaecidos han hecho evolucionar notoriamente al mismo tiempo que sus consecuencias educativas

    We have chosen this topic for research as we consider it a transcendental problem in the lives of children today, considering the importance which television now has toward childhood behavior and the increase of programming in new channels and the widespread use of videogames. Nowadays television hasn`t got sufficiently stipulated timetables; therefore children frequently watch violent scenes which are inappropriate for their age, with the added danger that they may want to imitate those scenes which cause the greatest impact in them and which can even cause them harm. We are including a recent research project (1999) on the influence of television and videogames in the conduct of children, as well as brief history of the principal authors who have studied this topic, the evolution of which has brought about notable changes and educational consequences.
