Inteligencia emocional y ansiedad en estudiantes universitarios

    El presente artículo de investigación presenta los resultados de un estudio acerca de la relación entre la Inteligencia Emocional Percibida y la Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado en estudiantes de Psicología de una universidad pública del Magdalena, Colombia. La investigación se desarrolló a partir del diseño descriptivo-correlacional a través de la aplicación de los instrumentos TMMS-24 y el IDARE a 167 sujetos. Los resultados indicaron que existe relación directa y significativa entre la percepción emocional y la ansiedad estado y la ansiedad rasgo. Por el contrario, se presentó una relación inversa y significativa entre la comprensión emocional y la ansiedad estado y la ansiedad rasgo; igualmente entre la regulación emocional y la ansiedad estado y la ansiedad rasgo. A través del análisis con el estadístico Chi2, también se encontró dependencia entre las sub-variables estudiadas con un nivel de significancia menor de 0.05.

    This research paper presents the results of a study about the relationship between Perceived Emotional Intelligence and the State-Trait Anxiety psychology students in a public university in Magdalena, Colombia. The investigation was developed from the descriptive-correlational design through the application of the instruments TMMS-24 and INDARE to 167 subjects. The results indicated that there is direct and significant relationship between emotional perception and state anxiety and trait anxiety. By contrast, there was a significant inverse relationship between emotional understanding and state anxiety and trait anxiety, and also between emotional regulation and state anxiety and trait anxiety. Through statistical analysis with Chi2, dependence was also found between the sub-variables with a significance level less than 0.05.
