Proposta para a formação de professores ribeirinhos no Estado de Rondônia

    After ten years of contacts with the schools of riverine communities in the municipality of Porto Velho / RO, we decided to share the “fruits” that we have reaped by accepting differences, overcoming prejudices and oppressive relations that are established within the school environment;

    and to present a proposal for teacher education, focusing on these communities. Accepting multiculturalism requires understanding that we live in a hybrid society, and that, in the so-called postmodern age, it is unacceptable to be stuck in binary oppositions such as popular vs.

    scholarly, modern vs. traditional and urban vs. rural. Hybridization must be viewed with a transdisciplinary gaze. So, in this paper, we dare present a teaching proposal that encompasses early and continuing education, and we also present some guiding principles and investments that can be made in riverine schools. We recommend greater emphasis on teaching practicum, and we request differentiated national examinations for teaching positions, teacher tenure as a means of diminishing teacher turnover, infoinclusion, libraries, books and professionals committed to the causes of riverine communities. We support the open curricula thesis and the emphasis on the positive role of affection.

    Após dez anos de contatos com as escolas de comunidades ribeirinhas, no município de Porto Velho/RO, decidimos compartilhar os “frutos” que colhemos na aceitação às diferenças, na superação das relações opressoras e preconceituosas que se estabelecem no âmbito da escola e apresentar uma proposta de formação docente voltada para o atendimento dessas comunidades. Assumir o multiculturalismo requer entender que vivemos numa sociedade híbrida e que, numa época classificada como pós-moderna, tornam-se inadmissíveis oposições como popular x culto, moderno x tradicional, urbano x rural. A hibridação precisa ser vista com um olhar transdisciplinar. Por isso, ousamos, neste trabalho, apresentar uma proposta de ensino que abrange a formação inicial e a continuada e apresentamos princípios norteadores e investimentos na escola. Recomendamos maior ênfase nos estágios e solicitamos concurso diferenciado, não rotatividade dos professores nas escolas, infoinclusão, bibliotecas, livros e profissionais comprometidos com as causas dos ribeirinhos. Defendemos a tese dos currículos abertos e valorização da afetividade.
