Resumen de Los Banū Saraf: una noble familia de literatos virgitanos emigrados de Cairuán

Este artículo recopila, analiza y sistematiza la información sobre la trayectoria biográfica de los tres miembros conocidos de la familia de los Banū Šaraf que vivieron en al-Andalus, y se afincaron en el entorno del pueblo almeriense de Berja: Abū cAbd Allāh Muḥammad Ibn Šaraf al-Qayrawānī, su hijo Abū l-Faḍl Ŷacfar y su nieto, hijo del anterior, Abū cAbd Allāh Muḥammad. Los dos primeros llegaron a al-Andalus provenientes de Cairuán en la época de Taifas, siendo el padre un hombre ya mayor y su hijo un niño. Deambularon por diversas cortes de los reinos de taifas. El nieto alcanzó a conocer la época almohade. Se han confundido diversos datos de ellos. Todos fueron poetas y cultivaron también la prosa, así como las máximas y sentencias gnómicas. De su labor literaria podemos extraer algunos datos históricos. Y su peripecia de emigración es ilustrativa de los avatares de esos periodos de la Historia.

This article collects, analyzes and systematizes the principal biographical facts concerning the lives of the three members of the Banū Sharaf family who lived in Al-Andalus, settling in the little town of Berja (Almería): Abū cAbd Allāh Muḥammad Ibn Sharaf al-Qayrawānī, his son Abū l-Faḍl Ŷacfar and his grandson Abū cAbd Allāh Muḥammad. The grandfather and father moved to Al-Andalus from Kairouan during the Taifa period, when the former was already an older man and his son still a child. They spent periods of time in the courts of different Taifa kingdoms, the grandson surviving into the early years of the Almohad era. Information about these three members of the Banū Sharaf family has frequently been confused. All three were poets, but they also wrote prose, maxims and gnomic sentences. Interesting historical data can be gleaned from their literary works, and their lives and the adventures of their emigration are illustrative of the vicissitudes of History.
