    La connaissance scientifique se construit-elle contre l'opinion commune ? La tradition de rupture épistémique entre discours profane et discours scientifique est aujourd'hui battue en brèche par de nouvelles conceptions de la construction du savoir scientifique, notamment dans les sciences humaines (herméneutique, ethnométhodologie, etc.). Par-delà une opposition stricte entre le paradigme bachelardien de la rupture et le paradigme ethnométhodologique, s'esquisse une nouvelle conception des relations science et opinion.

    Scientific knowledge and lay knowledge: the paradigmatic ge-nerativity of public opinion Is scientific knowledge constructed against common opinion ? The tradition of an epistemic rupture between lay discourse and scientific discourse is being attacked by new concepts of the construction of scientific knowledge, specially in the social and human sciences (hermeneutics, ethnomethodology, etc.). Beyond strict opposition between the Bachelordian paradigm of rupture and the paradigm of ethnomethodology, a new concept of the relation between science and opinion is being shaped.
