Hábitos de estudio: lo que se aprende en la escuela y lo que requiere la universidad

    El escaso rendimiento de los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso a la universidad es un tema de actualidad al que no se le ha dedicado aún la suficiente atención. Si bien se puede hablar de una multicausalidad para que esto ocurra, es importante considerar cuáles de esas causas podrían ser atendidas desde el propio sistema universitario.

    En este trabajo, y con el fin de lograr un mejor conocimiento de los estudiantes ingresantes o potencialmente ingresantes a la universidad, se analizaron aspectos vinculados a las propias percepciones de dichos alumnos con respecto a su formación previa y en relación a la dinámica de trabajo utilizada y/o aprendida en la escuela secundaria. Los principales aportes de este trabajo están vinculados a la necesidad de poner en consideración del profesorado universitario la importancia de una formación docente adecuada que le permita una real capacidad de diagnóstico de lo que sucede en las aulas, el diseño de estrategias pedagógicas adecuadas a los tiempos actuales, al mismo tiempo que las acciones de articulación con los otros niveles del sistema educativo que permitan superar la situación descripta.

    The lack of academic performance from the new students who enters into the university, it’s a real fact which hasn’t been taken into account and given enough attention from the institutions of superior level. Though many are the factors that contribute to this problem in the university’s classroom, it’s important to consider that many of them might be attended from the own university system.

    In this work, and in order to achieve a better knowledge of the new university’s students, some aspects have been analyzed related with the own perceptions from these new university’s students as regard as their previous secondary school knowledge and dynamic way of working in the high school. The main contributions of this research are linked with the necessity of putting into consideration all the university’s teachers, the importance of a right teacher’s formation which let them know a real capacity of diagnosis as regard as previous knowledge of the new university’s students and the design of pedagogic strategies according to the real time and together with the articulation with other levels of the educational system that let to surpass the situation described.
