    Se estudia un despliegue de reformas institucionales de las cuales fue objeto la Universidad de Córdoba del Tucumán y su Colegio de Nuestra Señora de Monserrat durante el siglo XVIII, intensificándose y acelerándose como consecuencia de la llegada al trono del rey Carlos III.

    Sin embargo hubo algunos cambios en la primera mitad del siglo, la radicalidad reformista comenzó en la corporación y el colegio convictorio con la expulsión de los jesuitas. Trabajamos una serie de transformaciones institucionales, tales como, incremento mayor del poder monárquico en el gobierno, aumento de las funciones del rector y cancelario, nuevas prerrogativas para el estudiantado y reforma de las constituciones universitarias.

    In this chapter we have studied the institutional reforms from which the Universidad de Córdoba del Tucumán and its Colegio de Nuestra Señora de Monserrat were subject during the eighteenth century. This situation was further enhanced and accelerated as a consequence of the accession of King Charles III to the throne.

    Nevertheless, there were some changes in the first half of the century. The reformist radicalism started in the corporation and the colegio convictorio with the expulsion of the Jesuits. We have worked with a series of institutional transformations, such as a sharp increase in the power of the King in the government, an increase of the Headmaster and the Chancellor's responsibilities, new prerrogatives for the students and the reform of the university constitutions.
