Evaluación del programa del Practicum del grado de maestro de la Universidad de Vigo: su reconstrucción

    Partimos de la asunción de que el Practicum es uno de los factores claves en la formación del profesorado y, por tanto, un elemento clave en la calidad educativa. De aquí, se deriva la necesidad de conocerlo, evaluarlo y, si es posible, mejorarlo. Guiados por esta intención en el presente trabajo nos proponemos comprobar el nivel de calidad del programa de prácticas (Practicum) de los Grados de Educación Infantil y de Educación Primaria de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Vigo. Para ello, una vez definido el contexto, planteamos una investigación naturista de carácter descriptivo, utilizando el método de estudio de casos y la técnica de revisión de documentos. Los resultados nos ponen de manifiesto los resultados negativos en las ocho dimensiones de que consta el componente “programa”. Ante esta situación, terminamos proponiendo, con el ánimo de abrir un debate sobre el Practicum, mejoras sobre los aspectos que consideramos más importantes.

    We take for granted that the Practicum is one of the main factors in teacher training and, therefore, a key element in educative quality. From here it comes the need of knowing it, evaluating it and, if possible, improving it. Guided by this intention, in the present article we intend to prove the level of the practice program (Practicum) of the kindergarten education and primary education degrees of the Teaching sciences faculty of the University of Vigo. With this intention, once the context is defined, we state a naturalist investigation with a descriptive character, utilizing the method of study of cases and the documents revision technique. The results show us negative data in the eight dimensions of the “program” component.

    Facing this situation, we end up proposing, with the intention of opening a debate on the Practicum, some improvement of the aspects we consider to be more important.
