La ATM del perro como modelo experimental

    El objetivo de este trabajo es un conocimiento más actualizado de la articulación temporo-mandibular en el perro (Beagle), que nos puede ayudar a valorar los resultados y extrapolaciones que se pueden realizar con los distintos estudios que se están llevando a cabo actualmente. Apoyados en la técnica de la anatomía seccional hemos realizado cortes en sentido sagital y frontal de la ATM del perro y la del ser humano, realizando un estudio comparativo. La estructura y disposición anatómica de la ATM del perro, nos hace pensar que no es un buen modelo experimental a nivel de ATM, pero que en otros aspectos puede ser viable como modelo experimental en odonto-estomatología.

    The main objective of this work is to achieve an update knowledge about the temporomandibular joint in the Beagle dog. This will help the authors to value the outputs and the extrapolations to be obtained respect to the different studies which are being carried out. Leaning in the technique of the sectional anatomy, we have obtained sections in the sagital and the frontal planes of the temporomandibular joints of the dog and of the man, carrying out a comparative study. The structure and anatomical disposition of the temporomandibular joint of the dog makes us think that it is not a good experimental model for the human temporomandibular joint, but that in other odontologic aspects could be a viable experimental model.
