  Se presentan seis casos de actinomicosis cervicofacial, analizando sus características clínicas, evolución y respuesta al tratamiento, enfatizándose la importancia del diagnóstico microbiológico e hispatológico en la etiquetación de estas lesiones. Se comprueba cómo la observación de los microorganismos en los cortes de tejido puede ser una prueba fiable en el diagnóstico de esta entidad (100% de los casos), mientras que las especiales condiciones de crecimiento en cultivo de los actinomices hace que su positividad alcance sólo el 50%. Se describen las diferentes respuestas al tratamiento con amoxicilina, doxiciclina y clindamicina, poniendo de relieve la importancia que en el manejo de estas infecciones tiene el hecho de asociar el legrado minucioso de la lesión al tratamiento antibiótico.

  Six cases of cervicofacial actinomycosis are presented. The clinical characteristics, evolution and treatment response are analyzed, emphasizing the importance of the microbiological and histological diagnostic in the identification of these lesions. It is observed that the presence of microorganisms in the tissue sections can be a reliable test in the diagnosis of actinomycosis in 100% of the cases, while the special growth conditions of the actinomyces in culture cause that only in 50% of the cases is the culture positive. The different responses to treatment with amoxicillin, doxicycline and clindamycin are described, emphasizing the importance of combining scraping with the antibiotic therapy.
