La primera mirada: el motivo del ojo inocente en dos películas del cine español

    En 1895 los hermanos Lumière proyectaban la primera película rodada con su cinematógrafo, en el seno de un clima intelectual y artístico profundamente preocupado por la experiencia de la percepción.

    Y con ello, mostraban al mundo un medio que albergaba la quimérica promesa de restituir una mirada virgen sobre el mundo que parecía definitivamente vetada al ojo desnudo.

    En la presente comunicación nos preguntamos si acaso sería posible advertir el viejo pero persistente sueño del Ojo inocente vertebrando el argumento y desarrollo de dos filmes del cine español, Vida en sombras y Tren de sombras.

    Ambos filmes constituyen una reflexión moderna sobre la posibilidad, o imposibilidad, de una mirada prístina sobre el mundo a través de las sombras cinematográficas.

    In 1895, the Lumière brothers projected the first film shot with their cinematographer, in the wound of an intellectual and artistic climate deeply concerned about the experience of perception. And with that, they showed the world an apparatus that harboured the chimeric dream of the restore of a pristine gaze that seemed definitely denied to the naked eye. In this communication we wonder if it would be possible to notice the old but persistent dream of the innocent eye in the plot and development of two Spanish films, Vida en sombras and Tren de sombras. Both films seem to be a modern reflection on the possibility or impossibility of an innocent gaze to the world through cinema.
