    O presente estudo busca discutir a relação histórica entre o sistema capitalista, educação e cidadania, no intuito de apontar as possíveis influências desse processo na constituição de tipologia de homem e sociedade. Para efeitos de organização textual o texto foi articulado contemplando os seguintes eixos: a) revolução inglesa: racionalidade, direitos do indivíduo e cidadania; b) Iluminismo, educação e cidadania, no qual perpassamos o pensamento referente à dimensão política de Montesquieu e Rousseau; c) Novo liberalismo: crises cíclicas e fortalecimento do capitalismo e, d) Escola e cidadania: paralelismos com a orientação liberal. A discussão a partir da bibliografia especializada, delineada entre o político e o educacional evidencia que existem aproximações entre o desenvolvimento da política educacional, a reestruturação produtiva e as tipologias de sujeito e sociedade, e concomitantemente a formação para a cidadania, principalmente para o atendimento aos interesses do capital; tais liames se autoproduzem na perpetuação e nos novos arranjos do sociometabolismo do capital.

    This study discuss the historical relationship between the capitalist system, education and citizenship, in order to highlight the possible influence of this process on the constitution typology of man and society. The organization textual including the following axes: a) English revolution: rationality, individual rights and citizenship b) Enlightenment, education and citizenship, in which highlight thought regarding the political dimension of Montesquieu and Rousseau; c ) New liberalism: strengthening and cyclical crises of capitalism and d) School and citizenship: parallels with the liberal orientation. Across by specialized bibliography shows that there approach between the development of educational policy, the restructuring process of production and the types of subject and society for the of citizenship toward the interests of capital. We observe that such relationship contributed in the perpetuation of social metabolism and new arrangements of capital.
