Resumen de Servicios de Orientación Universitaria: visibilidad y propuestas de mejora

  El artículo describe la percepción del alumnado universitario de primer curso con el planteamiento teórico-legal de la orientación universitaria. 561 estudiantes de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (España) responden una encuesta sobre la importancia de la orientación universitaria, el conocimiento de las actividades realizadas en el Servicio de Orientación Universitaria (SOU), la adecuación a sus necesidades y propuestas de mejora. Los resultados ponen en evidencia que los estudiantes reconocen la importancia de los Servicios de Orientación Universitaria, así como que las actividades que se realizan son visibles, responden a sus intereses de integración y se adecuan a la mayoría de sus necesidades, pero faltan actividades más relacionadas con el ámbito socio-emocional y cultural.

  The paper main objective is to test the freshmen perception of theoretical -legal college counseling carry out by the University Counseling Service (SOU) in the Faculty of Education at the University Complutense of Madrid. 561 freshmen answered the survey about the importance of the guidance, the knowledge of the activities developed in the SOU, and the matching with their needs and suggestions for improvement. The results show that the service activities are visible and adequate to most of the needs identified by freshmen, so the importance of guidance services at the University was recognized. It was also identified that the activities match their interests to integrate although they lack going beyond the institution and have been more related to the socio - emotional and cultural scope and not just the strictly academic.
