    La premsa durant la primera etapa de la Guerra Civil Espanyola fou molt prolífica en la majoria de les poblacions catalanes. L�educació era una qüestió en què el Govern català creia. L�ideal del CENU (Consell de l�Escola Nova Unificada) d�una bona educació exigia la importantíssima tasca de treure la població de l�analfabetisme, però també exigia uns canvis estructurals que no tots els partits ni molta població volien acceptar. La premsa ho anava recollint dia a dia, fins que els estralls de la guerra van fer plegar les redaccions dels diaris i, a més, l�educació va anar quedant a segon terme pels desplaçaments de la població, la por i la misèria que va portar la llarga i crua guerra. D�aquesta imatge que ens dibuixa la premsa tractarà la present comunicació.

    The press during the first stage of the Spanish Civil War was very prolific in the most of the towns in Catalonia. Education was a matter in which the Catalan government believed. The ideal of the C.E.N.U. of a good education, was the important task of removing the population of illiteracy, but also it were structural changes that not all the parties nor many people wanted to accept it. The press was picking it day by day, until the ravages of war did not just fold the newspaper editorials the education was being implemented in second term by movement of the population, the fear, and the misery that took the long and harsh war.
