La calidad en el servicio de criminalística de la Guardia Civil

    El Servicio de Criminalística fue una de las dos primeras Unidades de la Guardia Civil elegidas para la implantación inicial de la normativa de calidad en la Institución.

    Coincidió en el tiempo con la primera etapa de madurez del Laboratorio de ADN, por lo que se optó por acreditar los ensayos de esa nueva disciplina criminalística como primer objetivo. En el año 2003 se logró la acreditación, siendo la primera de esa clase en España. Desde entonces el Servicio de Criminalística ha conseguido acreditar el 50% de sus áreas expertas, yendo a la cabeza en esa materia entre los laboratorios homólogos en nuestro país. Además, el Servicio de Criminalística lidera el Grupo de Trabajo nº 3 del Comité Técnico Nacional de AENOR, la Asociación Española de Normalización, conocido por las siglas CTN-197, que sigue de cerca los trabajos del Comité Europeo de Normalización CEN-419 sobre “Procesos de ciencia forense” que redacta, en nuestros días, la primera norma europea de carácter forense de la historia.

    El Servicio de Criminalística representa a AENOR en el mencionado Comité Europeo.

    The Criminalistic Service was one of the first Units selected by the Spanish Civil Guard for the starting implementation of quality regulation in the Institution. This fact and the first maturity stage of the DNA laboratory happened at the same time, and that is why the tests of this new criminalistic discipline were selected to be accredited as the first aim. The accreditation was achieved in 2003, being the first one of this kind in Spain. Since then, the Criminalistic Service has got the accreditation of the 50% of its expert areas, being the leader in that matter among equivalent Spanish laboratories.

    Besides, the Criminalistic Service leads the number 3 Working Group of the National Technical Committee number 197, which monitors the works of the European Committee for Normalization number 419 on “Forensic science processes”. This Committee is currently writing the first European forensic guidelines in history. The Criminalistic Service represents AENOR in the above-mentioned Committee.
