    El presente trabajo comparativo se ocupa de una serie de novelas y cuentos seleccionados que surgieron durante el difícil período de cambio político y cultural, tanto en España después de 1975 como en Alemania del Este después de 1989/90. En el ámbito cultural y literario resultan momentos de convergencia entre ambos procesos de transición debido a la supresión del sistema de censura anteriormente omnipresente, gracias a lo que se despejan tabúes anticuados, y a las restricciones en el contacto con otras literaturas y que facilitaron así la apertura hacia nuevas temáticas y nuevas perspectivas formales y de técnica de la narración.

    Die vorliegende komparatistische Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit einer Reihe ausgewählter Romane und Erzählungen, die in der schwierigen Zeit des politischen und kulturellen Umbruchs in Spanien nach 1975 und in Ostdeutschland nach 1989/90 entstanden sind. Konvergierende Momente zwischen beiden Übergangsprozessen ergeben sich im kulturellen und literarischen Bereich aus der Abschaffung des vorher allgegenwärtigen Zensurapparates, wodurch verstaubte Tabus und Einschränkungen im Kontakt mit anderen Literaturen aus dem Weg geräumt und gänzlich neue thematische, aber auch formale-erzähltechnische Perspektiven eröffnet werden.

    This comparative work deals with a number of selected novels and stories that have appeared in the difficult period of political and cultural upheaval in Spain after 1975 and in East Germany after 1989/90. Converging forces between the two transitions emerge in the cultural and literary field as a consequence of the abolition of the previously pervasive system of censorship. Subsequently, outmoded taboos and restrictions are abolished due to the contact with other literatures and entirely new perspectives on topics but also formal-narrative methods shall be opened.
